In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside numerous objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
